I wish to make everyone aware that this past weekend, my Sah Bum Nim, Belvin Eaves, passed away. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Sah Bum Nim for his knowledge of this art and his instructing me on how to teach it. His philosophies on Tae Kwon Do and approach to instruction make up the backbone of our own program. The world has lost a remarkable instructor. My thoughts go out to his family, especially my good friend Geno, his friends and his students. I extend my deepest sympathies to Sah Bum Nim's family, friends and students. I employ Sah Bum Nim's philosophies and teachings everyday - from teaching my own students, to how I conduct personal interactions, my years training with him and Geno make up in large part who I am today. GENO - my old friend, I am very shocked and saddened by this. You are like a brother to me and I grieve with you. I know this is difficult, but I'm certain you will be an example of strength and perserverance... just like your father was. My best always, Joey Woodyard
Belvin left quite a legacy in the lives that he touch through his teachings of karate. I will forever be thankful for what he gave to me as a parent as he nurtured my children by teaching them the value of discipline, self-control, confidence and patience. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this great time of sorrow. Kristin Woodyard My deepest condolences to the Eaves family, friends, and students. Sah Bum Nim was a stellar instructor, he instilled in his students a sense of pride, self-respect, respect for others, and confidence. I learned the tenets of Tae Kwon Do from Sah Bum Nim Eaves many years ago, and to this day and every day to come, I employ many of the traits he taught me. I rest assured, he has Jesus Christ in a freshly pressed Do-bak, as he teaches front punch. Love & Respect Christopher Jason Woodyard
